Salesian Family Assembly

Everyone with a connection to the Salesians is invited to join the Salesians at their Assembly on Friday, May 23 at St John’s Church for their opening prayer service before the Assembly opening ceremony the following morning at Chadstone. The Assembly is being held to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first Salesian missionary expedition being held in Patagonia, Chile.

Our Lady Feast Day

The parish will celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Southern Cross on Sunday, 25 May at the St John’s 11am mass. This will be a whole parish occasion including the Italian, Vietnamese and Samoan communities. There will be no 9am Italian or Vietnamese mass on this day. Please let us all come together to worship Mary, and enjoy lunch afterwards in her honour. We will also celebrate Fr Cassius for his 50th birthday: a caring, welcoming and humble priest and pastor, who has given so much to our parish.
