St Joseph's goes to Salesian
Our students had a great day,
organised by the Maiocco House students at 'Rupertswood'. After feeding the
ducks and geese on the lake, the children collected eggs in the chook-house.
One of the Salesian boys, Chris Hendy knew how to 'hypnotise' a chook, so
the children were able to stroke
it while it remained motionless. Chris then woke it up by clapping his
At Food-Tech, smilie smartie cookies were baked, and on the famous 'Ashes
Oval' fun games were organised by the Salesian pupils, after which, everyone
was ready for the barbecue. Then home on the busses which were paid for by
the Maiocco Salesian students who brought along $5 each to sponsor the day
of friendship, bonding, exploration and fun.

St Joseph's Fundraiser
The fundraising dinner was a great success in terms of the number of
people attending (500+) and the money raised ($80,000+). Everyone
enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and especially the entertainment
items from the Eucharistic Group and the Legion of Mary as well as
our own famous Cung Chieu Choir, all from St Joseph’s of course .
